Open Bluefish and get a new HTML5 template. Then save your file as start.html inside your Document folder or somewhere as you like. Then open it with your web browser. (Watch video at the bottom of page to see how to do this step by step)
Now try the below codes and see the firefox previews.FILE : start.html
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>HTML with WDL</title> </head> <body> <h1>My 1<sup>st</sup> <mark>HTML</mark> Document</h1> <hr> <p>My Name is <input></p> <p>My favorite color is <input type="color"></p> I am <select> <option>Male</option> <option>Female</option> </select> <p>Loading... <progress></progress></p> <a href="http://www.webdevlinux.com">Visit WDL</a> <!-- Coded by WDL on 20161220 --> </body> </html>
HTML is a case-insensitive language. In another word, We can use Uppercase letters or/and Lowercase letter when we code.Example :
<HTML> = <html> = <Html>
However, using lowercase letters are recommended and it is a best practice. Lowercase letters are easy to read than uppercase letters.
At the end of this tutorial, you will understand everything in details in the above example. Keep calm & continue with the tutorial.
